What are you wearing?

I love labels, no denial.  I hate that we constantly think of bargain shopping as buying "cheap" rather than inexpensive things.  Take the rain boots below for example.  The boots on the left are Michael Kors and they have a fantastic sheen, detailed stitching, and the boot is the perfect balance between casual and classy.  The rain boot on the right goes for $24.99 unlike its competitor at $250.00.  But, the one on the right lacks the elegance that the Michael Kors boot exudes.  My point is that I would rather wait for the MK boot to hit the clearance for 49.99 than spend my money on a boot that wouldn't make me want to go out and jump in puddles and sing in the rain.  Not to mention it's a boost of confidence to know the name on the tag is the same name that celebs wear.

Never sacrifice quality for price.  In the long run, it simply does not make sense.  Buying the less expensive brand will usually result in some cheap fabric, twisting in the washing machine, or stretching out to a crazy new size.

Disclaimer:  Be aware that just because something is NOT a name brand means that it is made poorly.  Also, just because it IS a famous label does not necessarily mean it is made well.

Do you shop labels?
